Jonathan Shime of Cooper, Sandler, Shime & Bergman LLP presents to the Prosecutors’ Network on the topic of civility in advocacy

On March 28, 2014, Jonathan Shime of Cooper, Sandler, Shime & Bergman LLP presented on the topic of civility in advocacy to the Prosecutor’s Network at the Advocates’ Society in Toronto, Ontario. The presentation focused on the impact of the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Appellate Tribunal recent decision in Law Society of Upper Canada v. Joseph Peter Paul Groia, 2013 ONLSAP 0041.

The Prosecutors’ Network is an organization made up of Prosecutors from administrative agencies in disciplinary bodies in Toronto, inlcuding the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), the Investment Industry Regulatory Organizaiton of Canada (IIROOC), the Mutual Fund Dealers Association (MFDA), the Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC), and the College of Physicians and Surgeons, among others.
